I've been sitting with this image on my computer for the last two days. Your work is all so visually compelling that it's hard not to be drawn in to the puzzle of the painting, but this piece really makes the difference for me. I so appreciate the combination of your inimitable style with a deeply thoughtful expression of a clear theme. Together with your discription, you capture more than the idea that we wear masks, but that the full banquet of our emotions find their way into the collective negotiation of social reality. While much of your work seems to speak to the stream of unconscious deliberations that bubble up onto the canvas, this image walks between the worlds, a literal example of its own subject.

There's brilliance in there.
